MATTHEW MOORE

Matt has done a bit of it all. His breadth of experience across a variety of athletic pursuits and competitive strength sports makes him a good fit for those both new to the barbell or those with experience looking to explore where it can take them. Matt is also a Test Engineer in the defense industry and applies the same analytic approach to all his clients as he does on any system under test! He also has a broad range of interests from Woodworking, BBQ, Firearms, the outdoors, and everything in-between.

Matt is a Professional Barbell coach living in Virginia with his Wife, Daughter, and two pups. He graduated from Old Dominion University in 2014 with a BS in Applied Mathematics and is currently employed as a Test Engineer in the Defense Industry. Matt is also an FFL and SOT, so if either of those mean anything to you, we’ll be a great fit.

Matt’s competitive interests are currently with Strongman and Strengthlifting, but he has previous athletic interests in Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, and Football. When he’s not training or coaching, he likes to serve in his local church and is always busy with one of his many hobbies: woodworking, firearms, and a number of outdoor activities, and smoking delicious meats.
