As the Editor in Chief at Barbell Logic, Nick has brought fifteen years of writing, research, and editing experience into the study and presentation of all things barbell-related.

Nick is a recovering lawyer and quintessential weekend warrior. He has been an amateur boxer and traditional martial artist, recreational marathoner and endurance sports enthusiast, and mediocre powerlifter. More recently, he has become mildly obsessed with Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

No sport or physical pursuit has come naturally to Nick. He has put thousands of hours into training, studying, making mistakes and paying for them, and learning along the way. After suffering a heart attack at just 35 years old, he abandoned the strength at all costs mentality. He now trains for health, for the satisfaction it brings, and to better enjoy his life, family, and hobbies. He looks forward to helping you do the same.
