How long have you been training?

5 years

What is the most embarrassing moment from any dark days of “lifting” that you may have had?

Dark days? When I was in a big box gym I was a battle rope guy for a bit. And I’d argue (shouting, seriously) with members about emergency door policy. It was also in a shady part of town and I “saw some things” that I never of thought I’d see from the top of a stair master.

What do you love about training?

It’s fun to blast music dance around and crush weights with your friends.

What do you love about coaching?

For sure seeing people do things they’d never thought they could or how others react to them.

What lifting achievement are you most proud of?

Probably my overall perception of what’s heavy. Athree-platee squat used to be that unattainable thing and now 6 plates is the next stop.

Would you rather magically increase each of your PRs by 20%, or magically increase one of your lifts by 100%?

Magically increase one of my lifts by 100%

Would you rather not have to eat food and have your ideal body composition, or get to eat 6,000 calories per day and have your ideal body composition?

Not have to eat food and have my ideal body composition.

How many lifting-related shirts do you own?

0-10

What or who gets you to train when your motivation is really low?

Bang energy drinks and my training bros

Pre-workout of choice

Bang

What are some of your go-to lifting songs?

Break free – Arianna Grande

Better than your death metal deadlift anthem.

Jealous – Chromeo

Glitch Mob – Seven Nation Army remix

What is the most embarrassing song you like?

“Be a Man”—Mulan, but I’ll go hard on show tunes in general

What’s one of your personal lifting superstitions?

I don’t have any but yesterday I saw a spider on the wall and had to broom him off because I’m pretty sure they jump off if you scare them and I thought he’d dive bomb my face mid-bench.

What are some of your lifting-related goals for this year?

Pull 600 is da one

Do you plan on competing in a meet this year? If so, what are your goals?

I’ll go to Nationals for one more press competition and then switch over to some bench meets

What have you learned about yourself from barbell training?

I can do very hard things super hungover.

Who is someone you’d love to try barbell training and why?

My mom cuz she’s all like “blah blah I’m scared so no.”

Do you have a role model? Who is it and why?

Not really, but genuine people killing it usually catch my attention.

Dead or alive, who would you love to lift with?

Harambe?

If BLOC made a yearbook, which do you think you’d most likely win?

Most likely to train in shorts with the crotch already blown out.

How much do you love to eat? 1 – It’s a chore … 5 – What are we eating next???

4

What’s your favorite meal? Please use as much detail as possible.

Bacon fried rice

Mix white rice with diced up bacon and eggs, serve with ketchup, siracha and some Franks Red Hot to taste. Crack some fresh pepper on dat.

What was your favorite childhood TV show?

Rugrats, Ah Real Monsters, Rocko’s Modern Life, Angry b=Beavers, Ed Edd and Eddy, (not Arthur), of course Looney Tunes

What is a movie that you have watched over and over and over again?

Top Gun

Tell us your best dad joke.

How do you make a little old lady say “shit”?

.

.

.

Make another little old lady say “bingo!”

What advice do you have for a new lifter? Or a lifter who’s been doing this a while?

Gaining weight is a cheat code for gains in the gym. Have fun with it and roll back intake later if needed. Actors do it all the time. You’re better than those make-believe-playing doofuses.
