Since completing his postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music London, Stephen has spent the last 10 years playing the trumpet with Period Orchestras and Musical Theatre productions around the UK and Europe.
Stephen discovered barbell training and Starting Strength in 2014 while attempting to rehab a series of knee injuries. After a brief flirtation with CrossFit, Stephen decided to focus solely on training for strength in late 2016. After attending a Starting Strength seminar a year later, Stephen has been focused on working towards the Starting Strength Certification.
Stephen is based in Norwich, UK where he is working towards improving the quality of life of those around him through barbell based strength training using the Starting Strength method.
When not coaching or performing, Stephen enjoys cooking and searching out the best coffee roasters, craft beers, and whiskies.
