If you’re struggling to hit your daily protein target, try these dead simple protein balls. These make a great afternoon snack.


  • 2.5 cups almond butter, softened (we recommend Justin’s brand)
  • 2 scoops whey protein powder, snickerdoodle flavor*
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tbsp coconut oil, solid
  • 3-5 tsp MCT oil to bind



Mix all ingredients well and shape into golfball sized spheres. If the consistency is too dry, add a bit more coconut and MCT oil. You are looking for a stiff peanut butter like consistency for rolling.


Makes about two dozen.



*Editor’s note: Vanilla and chocolate protein powder also work well. Try dipping these in dark chocolate for a dessert! Of course, make sure you adjust the nutrition information accordingly.
