Barbell Logic Experience
We’re going to show you what it’d be like to be a Barbell Logic client. We want to hear what your strength and nutrition goals are and then help you with them.
To get the full experience, we need you to do three things, which are explained in more detail below:
- Schedule a video chat with one of our coaches
- Log into the BLOC App
- Upload a video of your workout(s) (optional)
We will take it from there.
Everything you need to start training right now is on this page. Watch the videos, follow the links, and you will be working 1-on-1 with your coach in no time. Set up a Video Chat
The BLOC Experience centers on getting to the heart of your goals and understanding the role strength training and/or nutrition play in helping those goals become a reality. The primary way we accomplish this is through a video chat with one of our coaches. The coach will take some time to get to know you while walking you through our coaching process in real-time. They will provide feedback on your videos and offer advice for taking your training to the next level. The video chat is your chance to get some expert coaching from one of the best barbell coaches on the planet!
You will receive an email invitation from one of our BLOC Experience team members. Follow the link in the email to schedule a call with them. Once scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation and instructions for joining the video chat.
When it’s time for your coaching call, please make sure you follow the zoom link in the email (it will look similar to https://zoom.us/j/XXXXXXXXX) and prepare for a video chat. Zoom works on your computer, phone, or tablet. (You can download the app for iPhone or iPad here and here for Android.) Please make sure you use the video call function for your call. It allows the BLOC coach to give you the best service possible.
Get Connected on the BLOC App
The BLOC App is Barbell Logic’s custom web application that serves as the primary connecting point for ongoing communication between clients and their coach. The BLOC App holds the details and notes of every workout a client completes and makes it easy to track progress over time. Because this is such a significant piece of receiving coaching through Barbell Logic, we want you to experience it for yourself.
Check your email for an invitation to join the BLOC App. Click the link and follow the instructions to get set up.
If you are interested in strength coaching, you will notice a test workout already available in the BLOC App. The test workout is a completely optional benefit of the BLOC Experience. If you would like to skip this step or have a coach walk you through this process, they will be happy to do so during your call.
What is a test workout: We will use the videos from this test workout to provide coaching feedback. We are going to ask you to work up to a weight that feels moderately challenging for each of the main barbell lifts: squat, press, deadlift, and bench press. Don’t worry if your form isn’t perfect; we will talk through changes to make during your scheduled call.

Be prepared for a video chat
Click the Zoom link in the email invitation that you received when you scheduled the call. The link will open a web page. Follow the on-screen instructions to get started. The BLOC Coach will plan to share their screen with you and go over your training videos.
Please bring your questions and a notebook.
We want to answer your training and nutrition questions and give you immediate and actionable feedback. You will get a better experience if you plan to take notes during the call.
